Okay great start to the day last night I passed out thinking I might just give up dream journaling but then I woke up today to such a vividly rich, pretty dream. The visuals were so frieaking pretty blue crystal seashell walls, light romantic teasing, this tangled beautiful mess of a tree from my window, walking this road and seeing 3 kinds of flowers: huge white ones, bell looking ones, deep purple. Like what could possibly have seeded this. My real life has been really bland these days. Maybe my subconscious anticipation of the trip today? Or it could be what others say where you dream what you lack irl. Whatever the cause, it was nice
Long day, 3 hours felt longer than it had any right to be to get here. I was drifting in and out of consciousness trying to sleep and the car swivels harshly yonow how rural roads get. Listening to many songs, one of the more impressionable ones was Daughter of a cop. The sky’s dark and grey. Rows upon rows of banana trees and paddy fields.
We’ve arrived and it’s a high tide, the waves are loud and there are ants and flies everywhere. I prefer tidepools. Theoretically I don’t hate the sea, I think it depends on the company. Like if I’m forced to watch it, swim in it and say it’s nice when I’d rather nap or hike on a mountain. But ig i gotta be grateful some kids’ parents don’t make them experience vacationing, and I was shut in since the start of break
After we arrived I took a long nap and don’t remember any dreams
I usually use concealer on my eyes and fill in my brows, but for the whole 3 night duration of our stay here I decided I would not touch any sort of makeup, like as an experiment
Sleepy dinner, sleepy existence. Waking up from that nap was like getting hit by a bus. I was able to deal with the awkwardness with my brother’s gf better because of the sleepiness I think. But the sleeepiness itself was also unbearable.
Watching night waves🫰my dads ruining the view/vibe a lil bit and no night swim cuz im not a fan of swimming and id be scared, i saw a eel/sea snake that one time, but, I think I’d like to try night swimming once in my life
